British manufacturers and other interested companies and institutions are invited to attend a special UK-China seminar on advanced manufacturing in Shenyang on 15 December, organised by CBBC with the British Embassy in Beijing, the National Development & Reform Commission and the government of Tiexi District in Shenyang.
This one-day event will look at ‘UK-China collaboration in advanced manufacturing to support the rejuvenation of North-East China’ following the approval in November 2016 of a policy to upgrade the region’s manufacturing industry under the 13th Five-Year Plan.
Senior leaders from the central NDRC and other bodies will be attending the event and leading British manufacturers and universities in China have been invited, along with select Chinese businesses. Site visits to local companies and breakout meetings with government officials will also be arranged for attendees. This is an ideal time for UK companies in this field to investigate the opportunities that will be created by the ‘Rejuvenate the North-East’ policy and to make influential contacts with CBBC and the Embassy.
