The city of Sanmenxia, Central China’s Henan province, got a new Chinese missile frigate named the Sanmenxia for use at a naval port in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, on Nov 13.

Li Jiangtan, vice-commissar of the PLA navy's East Sea Fleet; Dong Yingsheng, deputy director-general of the Civil Affairs Department of Henan Province; Yang Shuping, secretary of the CPC Sanmenxia municipal committee; and other related officials attended the naming ceremony.
“As a resident of Sanmenxia, I am very proud that we have a missile frigate named Sanmenxia in the sea to protect the interests of our country,” said Yang passionately.

Yang also stated that Sanmenxia will keep supporting military families and military construction and strengthen communication with soldiers working on the frigate to make the Sanmenxia missile frigate a powerful force in safeguarding the peace of China and the world.
Xu Tao, captain of the naval warship, said he will lead soldiers to safeguard national sovereignty and win interests for the country in ocean rights, as well as to build the Sanmenxia frigate as a strong force on the sea.
The federation of industry and commerce of Sanmenxia also signed an agreement to support operation of the naval warship with military departments during the event.
